Bill Holcomb, Ph.D., ATC, CSCS*D, is an associate professor and director of the athletic training program at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Dr. Holcomb earned his BS from Berry College in Georgia and his Ph.D. from Auburn University. He is certified as an athletic trainer and strength and conditioning specialist. Dr. Holcomb currently serves as the liaison for the National Athletic Trainers’ Association and the National Strength and Conditioning Association. He also served on the Executive Council for the NSCA-Certification Commission from 1998-2001. A much sought-after speaker and prolific writer, Dr. Holcomb has presented and published numerous papers dealing with strength, conditioning, and athletic injury rehabilitation.
