Stephen Antonetti has worked in the fitness industry on and off for the past 15 years. He is a certified Nautilus trainer and currently owns and runs Steve’s Total Fitness, a personal training studio in the Boston area. Antonetti acquired his knowledge in health and nutrition not only through study and practical experience, but also from the leading authorities in the fitness and nutrition industry. Some of the experts with whom Antonetti has worked include Dr. Wayne Westcott, fitness director for the South Shore YMCA; Saul Shockett, owner of S.E.T.S. (Sauls Elite Training Systems); and Ralph Maturo, Sr., owner of Good Health Natural Foods.

Susan F. Ramsden is fitness administrative director at the South Shore YMCA in Quincy, Massachusetts, where she is responsible for the logistical aspects of all research programs. Ms. Ramsden designed and developed the Partnership Program, which provides supervised strength exercise for people with various disabilities, as modeled in chapter ten of this book, entitled Workouts on Wheels. She has served on the Senior Fitness Subcommittee of the Governor’s Committee on Physical Fitness and Sports, and in 1998 received the Outstanding Service Award from this committee. She is publisher/editor of a monthly health and fitness newsletter called The Motivator, which features articles by many of the foremost professionals in the fields of health, fitness and nutrition, and also writes and edits other articles and publications. Ms. Ramsden has assisted Dr. Westcott with several books, including a chapter on practical approaches to sensible nutrition for young people. Ms. Ramsden, a fitness enthusiast and regular strength trainer, lives in Brockton, Massachusetts.
